Those who regularly save their leftovers or prefer to keep opened foods sealed in airtight plastic bags may have grown accustomed over the years to the traditional single-use “ziplock baggie” variants. Instead of spending money buying new ones and creating waste, why not adopt a reusable solution that you can also use to cook, store and freeze your food?
Stasher offers just that in the form of reusable silicone bags that not only save time and money for consumers, but also saves the environment from millions of traditional single-use baggies finding their way into oceans and landfills. Stasher’s products are 100% plastic and BPA free and are fabricated without the use of unnatural fillers using pure platinum silicone derived mostly from sand. They are available in a variety of styles, colors and sizes and similar single-use plastic products, are sold in half-gallon, sandwich and snack size options, with pocket-sized offerings also available. Stasher products are non-toxic, odorless, flexible, 100% recyclable and have a temperature resistance of up to 400 degrees F.
The History of Stasher
What Stasher founder and CEO Kat Nouri started in 2005 as Modern-twist - a company selling food-grade products made of silicone - has now evolved into a company that serves customers nationwide.
With an entrepreneurial father with a background in agriculture and a mother who emphasized the importance of healthy and proper food storage, Nouri said that her upbringing inspired her to try and start a business rooted in these values. Nouri remembers that her mother never let their family wrap food in any foils or plastics and they were always left to finding other creative solutions for keeping their leftover food fresh. From here the idea for Stasher was born.
Stasher Company Mission
From its founding, Stasher’s mission has been to offer 100% plastic and BPA-free products made of pure platinum silicone as a reusable alternative to single-use plastic baggies and other plastic-based food storage containers.
Benefits of Stasher
Along with the ability to mitigate consumer costs spent on single-use products and reduce environmental pollution, Stasher products are also beneficial to consumers in that they can be used thousands of times for baking, cooking sous-vide, boiling and microwaving. They are also dishwasher safe.
