When Marky's was established in Miami, Florida, its mission was to specialize in supplying customers with the finest sturgeon caviar from Russia and this mission still holds true today. Since the beginning, Marky's has been determined to offer products of a consistent high quality in order to always satisfy its customers. This attitude has allowed the company to extend its business over the last three decades.
The History of Marky's
The company gained its worldwide reputation from Mark Zaslavsky, a Ukrainian immigrant who moved from a country with a hard regime to Miami in 1980 in pursuit of fertile ground for free enterprise.
Mark Zaslavsky has achieved success due to his hard work, saying that in the beginning of his life he worked as a dishwasher and a short-order cook before scraping together enough money to open a small deli-grocery in the USA.
The empire of delicacy imports and exports began in 1983 with the opening of a small shop that sold imported caviar and smoked salmon on 79th Street in Miami, FL by CEO’s Mark Zaslavsky and Mark Gelman. Gradually, the extension of their roots developed into the ‘Russian Store’ as it was then called. The assortment expanded to Russian goods such as candies and cakes, preserves, canned goods, wider range of caviar, exotic truffles, foie gras, meats, cheeses, fine wines and champagnes.
Culture of Marky's
Marky’s Caviar Group keeps expanding its retail trade to spread the culture and importance of gourmet foods. Filling the shelves of Marky’s Gourmet Store in Miami, Caviar & More kiosk as well as Beluga Bar both in Aventura Mall, Marky’s Caviar Hollywood Lounge in Hollywood, FL and Marky’s Caviar on Madison with the conjoining caviar speakeasy Huso in New York which landed on the Michelin Plate in 2020.
